Center for Research and Studies on Climate Change, Agroecology and Environmental Sciences (CRECCASE)

Since its inception in 2016 after the passage of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti and the Great South, the Queensland University Council (CUQ) has taken the initiative to create the Center for Research and Studies on Climate Change, Agroecology and Environmental Sciences (CRECCASE) at Queensland University (UQ), the erosion of biodiversity on the planet has increased considerably. As for the attempts to stop these losses, CRECCASE-UQ ended with objectives for conducting research. As a result, the focus of biodiversity research has evolved, with convention support involving states and scientists. Initially focused on inventory issues, research on biodiversity, climate change, water, energy, cities and territories, now tend to evaluate services to humans. This anthropocentric approach, called ecosystem services, should help to convince the general public and decision-makers of the need to act.

The Center for Research and Studies on Climate Change, Agro -ecology and Environmental Sciences (CRECCASE) at Queensland University (UQ) offers a program of graduate training, Seminaries of Training, Conferences on Climate Change, studies and research on themes Biodiversity, Environmental Governance and Territorial Development, Climate, Water, Energy, Economy and Management, Environmental Informatics, Science, Agro-ecology, Environment, Climate Change.
