Description

The Center for Research and Studies for Quality Control, Standardization and Consumer Rights Defense (CRECONDD) at Queensland University (UQ) is created by members of the Queensland University High Council (HCUQ) dated March 8, 2012 relating to the creation, organization and operation of the Center for Research and Studies for Quality Control, Standardization and the Defense of Consumer Rights (CRECONDD).


Mission of CRECONDD

In liaison with the administration of Queensland University (UQ) and public and private organization concerned, the Center for Research and Studies for the Quality Control, Standardization and Defense of Consumer Rights (CRECONDD) of the Queensland University (UQ)’s mission is to contribute to the development and implementation of Haiti's policy in the field of standardization and quality control in Haiti through research and development. He is responsible for:

  • Training on the development and certification of standards in Haiti;
  • Certification of conformity to standards;
  • Promoting standards and the quality approach to public administrations, parapublic and private sector organizations;
  • Inform and educate Haitian consumers about the importance of quality control and standardization;
  • Follow-up of the Cooperation with the International Organizations and the specialized committees in the field of the standardization and the quality and also the defense of the rights of the consumers;
  • Conduct of studies related to standardization and development of proposals for measures to improve the quality of products and services, as well as compliance with standards;
  • Dissemination of information and documentation on standards;
  • Any other mission that may be entrusted to it by the public or private sector, in the field of standards and quality;

The Center for Research and Studies for Quality Control, Standardization and Consumer Rights Defense (CRECONDD) at Queensland University (UQ) is a private institution belonging to the Department of Quality Control and Standardization ( DCQN) from Queensland University (UQ) and operates under the technical supervision of Queensland University (UQ). CRECONDD-UQ has legal personality and financial autonomy.

The Head Office of the Center for Research and Studies for Quality Control, Standardization and Consumer Rights Defense (CRECONDD) is located at the Queensland University Campus (UQ).
